The office of public prosecution filed a case against a defendant before the court. It requested the court to charge the defendant with fabrication.

The defendant denied the claim made by the office.

The court ruled that the defendant should be imprisoned for one year and that he should pay a fine of 5000 Riyals.

The defendant appealed the ruling before the court of appeal.

The court dismissed the appeal and upheld the appealed ruling. The court, however, suspended the execution of the imprisonment ruling in accordance with Article 214(2) of Saudi Arabia Cabinet Decision No. 12/1435.
