The office of the public prosecution filed a case against two defendants before the court. It requested the court to penalize the defendants for assaulting a security officer and causing damage to a police car. It also requested the court to penalize the first defendant for holding a firearm without licence.

The court ruled that the first defendant should be imprisoned for four years and that he should pay a fine of 100000 Riyals. The court ruled that the second defendant should be imprisoned for one year and that he should pay a fine of 10000 Riyals.

The court of appeal upheld the ruling.
