The office of public prosecution filed a case against a defendant before the court. It requested the court to penalize the defendant for possessing ammunition without a licence. The office also requested the court to penalize the defendant for possessing ammunition in forbidden places.

The defendant admitted the accusations made by the office.

The court said that the consideration of the second accusation fell under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Interior in accordance with Article 53 of the Law of Firearms and Ammunition.

The court ruled that the defendant should pay a fine of 100 Riyals. The court also ruled that the ammunition should be confiscated.

The court of appeal upheld the ruling.
