A creditor filed a request to the court to initiate liquidation proceedings against the debtor, as they had failed to repay a debt owed to the creditor, which was confirmed by a final court judgment.

The court said that the debtor had not attended the session, and it was found that he did not possess any assets or funds.

The court said that Article 92 of Saudi Arabia Cabinet Decision No. 264/1439 stipulated that the debtor, creditor, or the competent authority could apply to the court to initiate liquidation proceedings for the debtor if they were insolvent or unable to pay their debts.

The court said that the case documents revealed he had ceased to repay the debts on time, indicating insolvency and an inability to repay according to Article 1 of Saudi Arabia Cabinet Decision No. 264/1439.

The court ruled to initiate liquidation proceedings for the debtor and appointed a liquidator accordingly.
