KHADIJA AL-MARHOON v OOREDOO GROUP COMPANY

This appeal involved whether an employee had failed to attend work for over seven days had been fairly dismissed. A key issue was whether a failure to hold a disciplinary meeting and document the dismissal in line with the employer’s policy made dismissal unfair. Also considered was what amounts should be payable to the employee on termination and if she was due moral damages.
