Mark Krombas v Epicure Investment Management LLC

This case involved whether an employee who had been made redundant close to the end of the year should be paid a discretionary bonus. It was argued the employee had been previously paid a bonus when he had worked for less than a year after a transfer from another group company and that the employer had breached trust and confidence with the employee in choosing the time to make him redundant. He had also been discriminated against as his subordinates had all received the bonus.
