The initial dispute had involved misrepresentation when incorrect information about residency requirements to obtain UK citizenship had been given prior to entering into an immigration consultancy services contract. This case was an appeal request. Issues included whether a reverse burden of proof had been applied and if there had been procedural unfairness in allowing a witness' evidence to be used when necessary procedures had not been followed in this area.
