This case involved a cost assessment for a large employment claim part of which had been the subject of a successful request for a summary judgment. The fee arrangement was a fixed fee one with a 10% bonus rather than the more usual hourly rate. There were also additional costs claimed for hourly costs for an additional interlocutory application. Costs previously awarded for a successful application to strike out the defendant's defence also had to be considered.
