Background

A claimant filed a case against an insurance company before the court. He requested the court to order the company to pay him compensation of 15,000 Dinars for material and moral damage. He said that he been injured in a car accident, and his car was damaged too. He stated that the car involved in the accident was insured by the insurance company at the time. He mentioned that a criminal ruling had been issued against the car driver. He said that the criminal ruling had become final. The claimant said that he had provided the court with medical reports to prove his claims.

The court ruled that the insurance company should pay the claimant 15,000 Dinars.

The insurance company appealed the ruling before the court of appeal. The court dismissed the appeal and upheld the appealed ruling.
