Background

A rental car company filed a case against an insurance company before the court. The company requested the court to order the insurance company to pay 25,000 Dinars. The company said that it had insured one of its cars for 25,000 Dinars in exchange for an annual subscription of 1,018 Dinars. The company stated that it had committed to its obligations according to the insurance policy. The company said that the car had been stolen. The company mentioned that a criminal report had been filed, but the thief was unknown. The company said that the public prosecutor had reserved the criminal report. The company stated that it had requested the insurance company to pay the amount, but the insurance company had refused to do so.

The court dismissed the case.

The rental car company appealed the ruling before the court of appeal. The court dismissed the appealed ruling and ruled that the insurance company should pay the amount.
