A claimant filed a case against an airline company before the court. He requested the court to order the company to pay him 5,001 Dinars as compensation for damage. He said that he had booked a flight with the company to travel to a city in Iran and that the company had failed to fulfil their obligations because the outbound flight had been delayed for one hour while and the inbound flight had been delayed for six hours. He said that he had undergone surgery before the trip and that the long waiting time due to the delays had affected him and caused damage.

The court ruled that the company should pay the claimant 419 Dinars as compensation.

The company appealed the ruling before the court of appeal. The court upheld the appealed ruling.
