KCC 1262/2019
This case involved grants which should be paid for two disabled daughters.
Background
Two claimants filed a case against a public institution before the court. They requested the court to appoint an expert in order to calculate the grants that their disabled daughters should receive. They also requested the court to order the institution to pay grant for their mother that takes care of them. They said that the public institution had failed to pay these grants.
The court appointed an expert in order to calculate the grants. The court ruled that the institution should pay the first daughter 132327 Dinars and the second daughter 12810 Dinars. The court also ruled that the institution should pay the mother (the second claimant) 7500 Dinars.
The institution appealed the ruling before the court of appeal. The court amended the appealed ruling and ruled that the institution should pay the monthly allowance for the two daughters and the expenses of a driver in addition to a monthly allowance for the mother to care for them.
