The court ruled that the Ministry of Public Works should pay the claimant compensation of 16000 Dinars.

The ministry appealed the ruling before the court of appeal. The court dismissed the appealed ruling and the case.

He said that the ministry had not taken precautionary measures against the flood and had failed to inform the public of the consequences of the flood.
