The office of public prosecution accused a defendant of forging banking statements and formal documents. The office requested the court to penalize the defendant according to the relevant laws.

The court ruled that the defendant should be imprisoned for three years but it suspended the execution of the sentence on the condition that the defendant paid a guarantee of 300 Dinars.

The defendant objected to the ruling and the civil claimant requested the court to order the defendant to pay temporary compensation of 5001 Dinars.

The court dismissed the civil claimant’s case. The court acquitted the defendant.

The office appealed the ruling before the court of appeal. The court upheld the appealed ruling.
