The defendants and the office appealed the ruling before the court of appeal. The court upheld the appealed ruling.

The defendants appealed the ruling before the court of cassation. They said in their grounds of appeal that the ruling had insufficient evidence of causation. They said that they had requested the court to appoint an expert to consider the case but the court had dismissed their request. They also said that the elements of the crime had not been existed in their case.
