KCC 737/2012

TThis case involved whether there had been sufficient evidence that drugs were held for trading purposes.

Background

An appellant said in his grounds of appeal that the appealed ruling by which he was convicted of possessing drugs for trading purposes had insufficient evidence of causation and had erred in the application of law. He said that the court established its ruling on the grounds of the reasons of the elementary court. He said that he had maintained before the court that the elements of the crime did not exist and that the trading purpose did not exist. He said that he had requested the court to listen to the testimony of the relevant officer but the court dismissed this request.
