KCC 1197/2011

This case involved whether soldiers and non-commissioned officers should be paid a bonus.

Background

An appellant appealed the ruling before the court of cassation.

Decision

The court of cassation said that the argument of the appellant was invalid. The court said that the court dismissed the request made by the appellant for the payment of reward of recognition on the grounds that Kuwait Ministerial Decision No. 495 should not include soldiers and the non-commissioned officers. The court said that the appellant was a non-commissioned officer when he was referred to the retirement scheme and therefore, he did not deserve the reward.

The court dismissed the appeal
