This case involved a claim by a lawyer who had not been paid an agreed success fee. The case had been sent to the Court of Appeal which stated it lacked jurisdiction so the ruling had legal power.
Background
A claimant filed a case against a defendant and requested the court to order the defendant to pay him 11000 Dinars. The claimant stated he had agreed with the defendant to defend his cases in order to get back his money in exchange for receiving 10% of the money. The claimant stated the defendant had failed to pay the agreed rate.
The court rejected the case.
The claimant appealed the ruling before the court of appeal. The court abandoned the appealed ruling and stated the Plenary Court had no mandate to consider the case and referred it to the court of appeal.
