Appeal – Court – Insurance – Employee – Personal Injury – Permanent Disability - Salary
This case involved a claim by an employee for unpaid salary. An insurance company was added to the case. The court had been wrong to ignore a substantial defence that the employee who it was stated had permanent partial disability was still working.
Background
An employee made a complaint against a company before the Labour Department and requested the department to order the company to pay his salary. The department referred the case to the court. The company added two companies to the case and requested the court to order them to pay compensation as it had insured the employees through these companies.
The court ruled that the first two companies should pay the employee 4839 Dinars and ruled the first added company should pay the company the amount.
The added company appealed the ruling before the court of appeal. The court stated the company had no right to appeal the ruling.
