This case involved a claim for blood money as a result of the death of two passengers on a bus. The company which owned the bus had a right to claim compensation for what it had paid from the insurance company even though the accident had not been as a result of a mistake by the bus driver.
Background
A company filed a case against the agent of some heirs and requested the court to order him to pay 20360 Dinars. The company stated the heirs owned a bus and the driver of the bus had caused the death of two passengers. The company stated the insurance company had paid the value of the blood money of 20000 Dinars to the heirs of victims and that the company had paid the amount to the insurance company.
The court ruled that the defendant should pay the company the amount.
The defendant appealed the ruling before the court of appeal. The court abandoned the appealed ruling and rejected the case.
