An appellant appealed the ruling before the court of cassation.

The court of cassation considered issues which related to public order. The court said that the documents of the case revealed that the ruling was issued on 24/03/2001 and that the appellant made his appeal on 01/10/2001 and provided the reasons for his appeal on 03/10/2001. The court said that the appellant had therefore violated the legal deadline stipulated by Article 9, 10 of Kuwait Law No. 40/1972. The court said that the documents of the case revealed that the appellant was informed of the hearing in which the case was reserved. The court said that the appellant therefore was aware of the legal deadline that he had to appeal the ruling within that time.
