Tenant – Landlord – Judgment – Contract – Reconciliation
This case involved a request that by a tenant that a new tenancy agreement be issued by their landlord following a reconciliation. The case had already been decided so was rejected as a previous ruling had found the tenant had failed to meet their obligations.
Background
A tenant filed a case against a landlord and requested the court to validate the rental relationship between the two parties according to a reconciliation ruling and order the landlord to release a new tenancy agreement to him.
The court ruled that the rental relationship should be validated and the landlord should release a new tenancy agreement.
The landlord appealed the ruling before the court of appeal. The court abandoned the appealed ruling and stated it would not consider the case because it had been previously settled.
