KCC 200/2001

This case involved whether the correct pre-trial procedures were followed in an indecent assault case and the validity of witness testimony,

Background

An appellant said in his grounds of appeal that the appealed ruling by which he was convicted of indecent assault had insufficient evidence of causation and had violated the right of defence. He said that he maintained before the court that the case was not filed following the legal procedures but the court had dismissed this defence. He said that the court established its ruling on the grounds of the testimony of the victim though it included many contradictions.
