Payment of Salaries – Kuwait Law No 61/1976 – Social Insurance – Reasons of Appeal
A case involved a dispute between an employee and a company over the payment of his salaries.
Background
An employee filed a claim against a company requesting that the court order it to pay his salaries.
The court rejected the case.
The employee appealed and the appeal court rejected the case.
The employee appealed by cassation.
Decision
Before the cassation court the employee argued that the ruling had erred in the application of law as the court rejected the case under Kuwait Law No. 61/1976, which stipulated that the institution of social insurance was the relevant party due the value claimed.
The court held that this argument was invalid as the relevant laws stipulate that the employee should reveal the reasons of appeal and the faults of the ruling against which the appeal is filed.
The court therefore dismissed the appeal.
