Workplace Injury – Employer’s Liability – Personal Injury – Compensation – Treatment Costs – Employment Contract – Salary – Insurance Company
This case involved a claim by an employee who had been injured by a workplace injury. The company added the insurance to the case so it might pay any amount resulting from the ruling. It was wrongly argued the insurance company should have paid both the treatment costs and the injury compensation. However, the treatment costs were excluded from the risks covered by the insurance.
Background
An employee made a complaint against a company before the Labour Department and stated that he was working with the company and had become injured and was 50% disabled. The employee stated the company had terminated his contract and refused to pay his salary. The department referred the case to the court.
The company added an insurance company to the case and requested the court order the insurance company to pay any amount that might result from the ruling.
The court ruled the company should pay the employee 9703.485 Dinars and the insurance company should pay the company this amount of money.
