This case involved a claim not to pay court fees and lawyer's costs ordered by the court of cassation. The correct procedures had not been followed and the case had been presented to the wrong court.
Background
A claimant appealed a ruling before the court of cassation and the court rejected his appeal and ruled he should pay the case expenses and 30000 Egyptian Pounds to the lawyer. The claimant objected to the expenses order and stated he was not obliged to pay these amounts.
The court referred the case to the court of cassation.
Decision
The Public Prosecution stated the case should be dismissed because the claimant had not followed the legal procedures when he filed it.
The court stated this argument was valid because the claimant had introduced his objection to a different court and he should have introduced it to the court of cassation.
The court dismissed the objection.
