This case involved an individual who had suffered a permanent disability after being hit. The key issue was whether she had surrendered her civil rights to compensation by agreeing to a reconciliation to calm the dispute after the accident.
Background
A claimant filed a case against the defendants and requested the court order them to pay compensation of 3000 Egyptian Pounds. The claimant stated the first three defendants had hit her and a criminal ruling was issued against them.
The fourth defendant requested the court to order the first defendant to pay the compensation.
The court rejected the request made by the fourth defendant and ruled the first defendant should pay the claimant 8000 Egyptian Pounds.
The first three defendants appealed the ruling before the court of appeal. The court rejected the appeals made by the second and third defendant and abandoned the appealed ruling and rejected the case.
