Appeal – Land Title – Registration
This dispute involved title and registration of land. The court had been wrong to require the land be given up to the claimant although they had not appealed the appealed ruling that rejected their request.
Background
A claimant filed a case against the defendants and requested the court dismiss land registrations which were recorded under their names. The claimant requested the court to change the details of the registration and order the defendants to give the land up.
The defendants filed a case against the claimant and requested the court validate their ownership of the land.
The court rejected the defendants' case and ruled the registrations should be dismissed and rejected other requests.
The defendants appealed the ruling before the court of appeal by two appeals. The court rejected the appeals and ruled the defendants should give the land over to the claimant.
