Background

A former judicial consultant filed a request against the Minister of Labour and the Chairman of Social and Health Services Fund and requested the court to validate his right to add the period from 18/07/1957 to 09/04/1978 to the one for which he was paid an additional monthly amount starting from 01/07/1999.

The consultant stated he worked as a lawyer from 18/07/1957 to 09/04/1978 and then he joined the judicial body and reached retirement age on 30/06/1999. The consultant stated that the fund refused to add the period he had worked as a lawyer into the period which the additional monthly amount was calculated.
