This case involved a claim by the child of a man for a pension and payments from the social insurance fund. These payments were not due because the father had stopped working because his license was cancelled not because he had died.
Background
A claimant filed a case against the general authority for social insurance requesting the validation of her right to retirement salary starting from 1990 and the addition insurance and the ten-month award under Egypt Law No. 47/1984. The claimant said that her father used to work in handicrafts and used to pay the insurance subscription until his death.
The court ruled that the general authority should pay the claimant the salary of 38.35 Egyptian Pounds per month starting from 01/06/1992 in addition to 400 Egyptian Pounds for the ten-month award.
The general authority appealed the ruling before the court of appeal. The court upheld the appealed ruling.
