Appointment as Manager – Compensation – Employee Statute
A case involved whether a company's decision to reverse the appointment of an employee as manager was in line with the law.
Background
An employee filed a case against a company requesting that the court order the company to dismiss Decision Nos. 79 and 80/1996, validate his right to work as a manager in the productive sector, and order the company to pay him 50000 Egyptian Pounds in compensation. The employee stated that the company had appointed him as manager and then reversed its decision.
The court ruled that Decision No. 79/1996 should be dismissed and that the company pay the employee 3000 Egyptian Pounds.
The company appealed and the appeal court upheld the ruling.
The company appealed by cassation.
