ECC 663/1999
Background
A claimant filed a case against the legal representative of a bank requesting him provide a bank statement revealing the amount of money the bank owed him.
The court appointed an expert in order to consider the case. The expert concluded that the claimant owed the bank an amount of money.
The bank filed a case against the defendant before the court requesting the claimant pay the mentioned amount.
The court dismissed the case filed by the claimant and ruled the claimant should pay the bank the amount.
The claimant appealed the ruling before the court of appeal. The bank requested the president of the court to order the claimant to pay $15000 and validate the preventive detention.
The president of the court refused to issue the order and determined a court hearing to consider the case.
The claimant made a plea against the preventive detention. The court dismissed the plea and ruled the claimant should pay the amount to the bank.
