Appeal – Damage – Marriage – Landlord – Tenant – Tenancy Agreement
This case involved a claim by a woman for damages against her husband and landlord. She said she was the tenant of the property and let her husband stay there. There had been a dispute and the landlord issued a tenancy to the husband. The landlord and husband would not be liable for damages as result of appealing a ruling as that was their legal right.
Background
A tenant filed a case against a landlord and her husband before the court requesting they pay her 50000 Egyptian Pounds. The tenant said that she had rented a flat from the landlord and hosted her husband in the flat. The tenant said that a dispute happened with the husband and that the landlord released a new tenancy agreement under the name of her husband in order to cause her damage. The tenant said that he filed a case against the landlord in order to validate the tenancy agreement she signed with the landlord and that the court validated the agreement but the landlord and the husband appealed the ruling that caused her damage.
The court dismissed the case.
