This case involved compensation for a criminal accusation of forgery. The criminal ruling had not been appealed so had gained legal authority before the civil court. An individual who had used their legal right to take a case should not be responsible for the damage caused by this litigation.
Background
A claimant filed a case against a defendant before the court requesting the defendant pay him 100000 Egyptian Pounds as compensation for damage which had resulted from an accusation of forgery. The claimant said that the court found him innocent of this accusation.
The court dismissed the case.
The claimant appealed the ruling before the court of appeal. The court dismissed the appealed ruling and ruled that the defendant should pay the claimant the estimated compensation.
