ECC 1732/1999
Background
Two sellers filed a case against a buyer before the court requesting the dismissal of a sales contract and payment of rent and compensation. They said that they sold a flat to the purchaser for 27000 Egyptian Pounds and he paid 11000 Egyptian Pounds but agreed to pay the remaining amount in instalments. The sellers said that the buyer failed to pay the remaining amount.
The court ruled that the contract should be dismissed and that the sellers should pay the buyer 15500 Egyptian Pounds and that the buyer should vacate the flat. The court appointed an expert to consider the request for compensation.
The buyer appealed the ruling before the court of appeal. The court said that the buyer had no right to appeal the ruling.
The court ruled that the buyer should pay the sellers 3111 Egyptian Pounds.
