This case involved whether administrative contracts could be settled by arbitration.

The Court of Appeal confirmed an arbitration award and ruled disputes arising out of administrative contracts may be settled under Egypt Law No. 27/1994.

An Egyptian Antiquities organisation requested the annulment of a domestic award in favour of an English contractor on the grounds the construction contract was a non-arbitrable administration contract.

It was confirmed that award ruling disputes arising from administrative contracts could be settled by arbitration.
