Jugnig v Jangur Group LLC

Background

The Claimant was Jugnig an individual filing a claim against the Defendant regarding his alleged employment at the Defendant company.

The Defendant was Jangur Group LLC a company registeredand located in the DIFC.

The dispute involved r the employment of the Claimant by the Defendant under an Employment Contract dated 22 November 2009 with an effective date of 7 February 2010.

On 10 April 2018, the Claimant was terminated by the Defendant and his last working day was 10 July 2018.

On 1 May 2019, the Claimant filed a claim iclaiming his final settlement and penalties under Article 18 of DIFC Law No. 4/2005, from 9 January 2019 up to 1 May 2019 (the day of filing the claim) of 39,328 AED.

The Defendant filed an Acknowledgment of service but failed to file a defence.
