Termination – Employment Contract Violation – Unpaid dues – Request for reinvestigation – Court Authority – Judgment – Case Documents
This case involved a claim for unpaid dues by an employee who had been dismissed and claimed he had been pressurized due to their employer's violations of the employment contract. The employee had asked for a reinvestigation of the case but the court had refused. The court had the right to do so as they had based their decision on solid grounds and evidence in the case documents.
Background
An employee filed a case against a company and requested the court order the company to pay him 243.979 AED. The employee stated he had started working with the company on 27/07/2007 and was dismissed on 11/02/2010 but the company had refused to pay his dues.
The court ruled that the company should pay the employee 107.080 AED and the value of a flight ticket but rejected the other requests.
The company and the employee appealed the ruling before the court of appeal. The court rejected the employee's appeal. The court ruled that the company should only pay 23.882.5 AED.
