DCC 1/2010 issued on 09/03/2010
Background
A Respondent filed the action No 87/2009 against the Appellant demanding an increase in the alimony decided in action No 657/2005 and amended by the appeal No 14/2006. They wanted 18,800 AED school fees for the child, 800 AED for maid's fees, 9,000 AED per month for the six children, 800 AED per month for water and electricity, 384 AED for transportation. This was based on the judgment rendered in her favour in action No 657/2005 amended by the appeal No 14/2006, demanding the Appellant pay her 3,000 AED per month as kinship alimony.
Time had passed since the last judgment and the demands of children had increased and the prices had hot higher.
The Appellant received a judgment for dropping the fosterage of both daughters but they remained with her and she was spending on them. She filed a complaint to the family guidance committee and the they couldn't reconcile them so she filed the lawsuit.
