DCC 1/2009/8
Background
A Respondent filed the action No 87/2009 against the Appellant demanding an increase in the alimony decided in action No 657/2005 and amended by the appeal No 14/2006 as follows - 18,800 AED for school fees for the child, 800 AED for a maid, 9,000 AED per month for the six children, 800 AED per month for water and electricity, 384 AED for transportation, based on a judgment rendered in her favour in action No 657/2005 amended by the appeal No 14/2006, and demanded the Appellant pay her 3,000 AED per month as kinship alimony.
Time had passed since the last judgment and the demands of children and prices had increased. The Appellant received a judgment for dropping the fosterage of both daughters but they remained with her and she was spending on them. She filed a complaint to the family guidance committee and they couldn't reconcile them so she filed the lawsuit.
