This case involve a claim for compensation and loss of profit involving a contract whereby two parties agreed to purchase land which would later be passed to the non-national party. It was claimed the party who had claimed to be a citizen was not and merely had a UAE passport so could not hold the title of the land. The contract was void and loss of profit could not be claimed as its aim had been to circumvent the law which prevented non-citizens from purchasing land.

The Appellant filed the action No 731/2006 against the Respondent demanding 20,777,643 AED for losses he endured and the loss of anticipate profit because of a piece of land's price increased and 461,232 AED.
