Background
An employee filed a case against a company and requested the court to order the company to pay him 211.396 AED and annual interest. The employee stated he had started working for the company on 18/07/2007 and was dismissed on 21/08/2006. The employee stated the company had filed a criminal case against him but the court had found him innocent. The employee stated the company had refused to pay his dues.
The court ruled the company should pay the employee 713.600 AED and annual interest of 9% but rejected the other requests.
The employee appealed the ruling before the court of appeal. The court rejected the appeal and upheld the ruling.
