Background Facts
An Appellant filed suit No. 582 of 2007 before the Dubai Court of First Instance against the Defendant, requesting 23,228 AED and 9% legal interest from the date of the claim until the completion of payment on the basis that the Plaintiff was the attorney of the Defendant in the case No. 1577 of 2006 and the Court ruled an amount of 931270 AED in favour of the Plaintiff. However, according to the agreement on legal fees concluded between the parties on 13-5-2006, the Plaintiff was entitled to 25% of the value of what was ruled in favour of the Defendant but they refused to pay the Plaintiff, so the Plaintiff filed the lawsuit in question.
