Background Facts
The Respondent (the Attorney-General as the representative of the Department of Health and Medical Services) filed suit No. 527 of 2004 before the Dubai Court of First Instance against a general trading Institution. And the owner of the first Defendant (the Appellant), requesting they pay the Plaintiff 14,600 AED based on the fact that the worker of the Defendants had received treatment with the Department of Health and Medical Services for the amount claimed. Therefore, the Defendants had to pay these expenses in accordance with Dubai Decree No. 1/2001.

The Court of First Instance dismissed the case. The Plaintiff appealed this judgment.
Appeal Court - Appeal No. 369/2005 - Decision dated 29/6/2005
The Appeal Court reversed the appealed judgment and obliged the Second Defendant as the owner of the First Respondent Institution to pay the amount claimed by Dubai Health and Medical Services. The Defendant appealed this judgment.
