The initial dispute involved blood money and compensation for the death of an individual in a road traffic accident. A key issue was what at appeal two separate claims were made but the fees were only paid for one so the judgment on this part should be void.
Background
A First Respondent filed the action No 439/2003 against the Defendants demanding that they jointly pay him 105,000 AED and an amount as compensation evaluated by the court.
The Plaintiff stated that on 31/12/2002, the Defendant made an error while driving a car 5 and ran over an individual which led to his death. He was criminally convicted and fined 2,000 AED and had to pay 45,000 AED as blood money - Diyya but did not pay the rest of the blood money 105,000 AED to the rest of the heirs.
