This case involved claims for unfair dismissal, compensation and a travel ticket by an employee who had been dismissed. Background
Under an agreement for an indefinite period of time, the Plaintiff joined the Defendant company from 10-4-2000 as a development manager with a monthly salary of 5000 AED, 1500 AED for transportation and 3500 AED for housing allowance and continued his work until 16-9-2001. He was to get . 3100 AED for the cost of taxi fares at 24 AED per day and 1500 AED for the return ticket to his home country and was unable to pay his dues, which was estimated at the amount 44620 AED.
The Labour Department could not settle the dispute amicably and referred it to the court and then filed the case.
