Police – Tort – Compensation – Sale of Goods – Seizure
This case involved the seizure of goods by the police. A key issue was whether the Sharjah police who had seized the goods or the Dubai police who had ordered it had liability in tort. The case also considered that the court should not have awarded more than the value of the goods in compensation as this was what was claimed.
