This case involved who should pay in a subcontracting relationship.
Background
A company filed a claim before the Civil High Court against another company requesting the latter to pay a certain amount of money plus interest and another additional amount as a temporary compensation.
The defendant company was the main contractor in building a medical city project and it had subcontracted some of the work to the claimant company. The main contractor failed to pay certain amounts therefore the subcontractor brought a claim to confirm the situation. An expert was appointed and confirmed in his report that the main contractor must pay the subcontractor the required money.
A person who owned a company, which was the second defendant in this case filed a request to intervene in the case requesting the main contractor and subcontractor to pay him a certain amount of money plus legal interest. Bahrain Post Company also requested to intervene in this case requesting its own dues.
