BCC 100/2020

This dispute involved a failure to pay for goods and payment of interest. The company claimed they had not signed a credit facilities contract and that bills provided as evidence were invalid. The bills could not be used as evidence as they had not be provided previously to the court case management office.

Background

A company filed a case against a company before the court. The company requested the court to order the other company to pay 19434 Dinars and the interest. The company said that they had supplied the other company with goods but the later had failed to pay for them.

The court ruled that the other company should pay the company 13787 Dinars and interest of 3%.

The two parties appealed the ruling before the court of appeal. The court amended the appealed ruling and ruled that the other company should pay 19136 Dinars and upheld the appealed ruling otherwise.
