Bank account – Seizure Provisional – Contract – Construction – Subcontractor – Arbitration
This case involved a provisional seizure of a bank account in a dispute involving a contractor and subcontractor where there was also an arbitration clause.
Background
A contracting company filed a claim with the Civil High Court against another contracting company requesting the court rule that the provisional seizure of the other company's bank accounts and due payments to the Works Ministry were valid. The contracting company also requested second company pay 3105777,140 Dinars plus interest because it had concluded an agreement with the company as a sub-contractor and they assigned it work to implement but failed to give them their rights.
